Fins-Finish last

Standard

My teen has an attitude that tends to end conversations on a crappy note. I get so tired of talking to her when it’s tense and filled with attitude. Today she came home and tells me that she’s changing sports and that I should be keeping track of her schedule. Of course, she’s joking, there are only some many times you can pass your real feelings off as jokes before people catch on.

Parenting a step-daughter that’s 14 is one of the most crappy experiences in life. People aren’t exaggerating when they make comments about how mothers and daughters clash. It’s similar to putting two of those colorful fish you win from a carnival, together in a small bowl and suddenly one is laying on the bottom without its fins. It’s PRECIOUS.
